This notice explains the cookies Stackgenie uses. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies we use
We use a small number of first-party cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not run Google Analytics, the Meta pixel, Google Tag Manager, or third-party session-recording tools. All of our analytics is first-party — recorded in our own database, not shared with ad networks.

Are these "essential"?
- Supabase auth cookies are strictly necessary — without them you can't sign in or use the app.
- `sg_sid` and `sg_attrib` are first-party analytics/attribution cookies. They are not used for third-party advertising and carry no cross-site tracking.
Why we don't show a cookie-consent banner
Stackgenie currently serves customers in Canada and the United States only. We use first-party cookies only, with no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking, so no opt-in cookie-consent banner is required for the audiences we serve. If we ever expand to regions that require prior cookie consent (such as the EU or UK), or introduce any third-party tracking, we will add the appropriate consent mechanism before doing so.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block the strictly necessary auth cookies, you won't be able to sign in.
Changes
If we add or change cookies — for example, if we ever introduce third-party analytics or advertising tools — we'll update this notice (and seek consent where required) before turning them on.
